Sunday

Sunday Worship

We gather every Sunday at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. for worship and at 3:30 p.m. for our Mauritian worship service in Creole. Church is more than a Sunday service, but it is vital for every believer to both belong to one another and to regularly worship together. Therefore each Sunday, we follow the biblical pattern and we gather as Jesus’ Church to worship God together.

We do this by singing praise to God for who He is, what He has done and the good news of salvation through Jesus. We pray to God together and for one another. We read scripture together to know who God is, to be transformed as we seek to follow Jesus and so that God would work in us. And we share communion each week, as we take time to respond to God, give thanks for Christ’s death & resurrection and remember that we live as people of the cross.

Jo Baptism

Our children & youth stay with us for worship, and then they have kids & youth ministry with age appropriate teaching aim at their level so that they can hear & understand the good news of Jesus and grow up in Him.

Between our two morning services, 11am – 11:30am, we have refreshments. An opportunity for the church to build relationship and catch up with one another.

We’d love to welcome you to our Sunday morning service. Come as you are—we’d love to see you!

Pastoral Care Beyond A Sunday

Our church is lead by the ministers & elders who seek to shepherd the church. At Elim Crawley we gave a four level pastoral structure seeking to provide different levels of pastoral care so that the church cares & is cared for.

1 Love One Another

The New Testament is full of one another commands, especially that we love one another. This is the basic care that every local church is to encourage and provide to each other, as the church loves one another as brothers and sisters.

2 Sunday & Small Groups

Sunday worship, prayer gatherings and small groups provide the next layer for pastoral care. Sunday worship provides an opportunities as most of the church will gather together. The minister & elders have the opportunity to catch up with people and provide more incidental pastoral care as we mingle on Sunday or at prayer meetings when we can pick things up that can be offered support at that moment or may need further support .

Small groups provide the opportunity for believers to gather to help believers become faithful & fruitful followers of Jesus. But these environments also create a layer of pastoral care through small group leaders who care for those within the group and by the group as the one another commands are lived out.

3 Practical Care

There are moments when real practical support is needed. That may be meals or practical help such as a lift, maybe a practical item. It is also important to empower small group and ministry team leaders also provide pastoral support to those in their care. They will often notice when someone is struggling or facing a hard time. And can often be the first port of call that provides the support needed.

4 The eldership team

The elders ensure that this pastoral support exists in the church by leading the church. That means that pastoral issues are high on the agenda in elders' meetings, and we can gain collective wisdom and the best approach.

You can find more out about the eldership team under our leadership tab.
